Restoring Vancouver Island’s kelp forests

In collaboration with the Kelp Rescue Initiative and local First Nations, we are working to develop science backed methods for restoring kelp forests in a meaningful and effective way that can be scaled up and be resilient to climate change impacts. Below are some of the news articles, interviews, and a documentary film that have come out on this work that is specific to the Baum Lab’s contribution but we urge you to check out Kelp Rescue’s website and Twitter (X) for more stories on the larger project.
