Baum Lab Goes to Bamfield

With three new members in the lab, some introductions were in order. What better way to get to know each other than with a weekend on the West-West coast. We piled everything and everyone into two trucks and headed down the dusty trail to the Bamfield Marine Science Center.

Over our weekend at Bamfield we got to know our lab mates, discussed the reasons we're all involved in conservation science, helped each other set professional development goals for the year, went swimming, made a fire from bark and sap, saw the aurora borealis, went hiking, and learned a little bit about historical marine research on the West Coast. Here's hoping it's now set as a yearly tradition.
