This year for the first time we did a lab writing retreat and it was highly successful. We rented a cabin in Port Renfrew and with it being a typical rainy November, it created a wonderfully cozy and focused atmosphere away from our normal lives. We did 5 ‘shut up and write’ sessions over the course of the weekend and filled other time with discussions, an adventure to Botanical Beach, eating, and playing games. Lots of progress was made on the various writing projects in the lab and fun was had!
